The death of Osama Bin Laden

As news broke late Sunday night of Osama Bin Laden's death, students at Penn State University flooded the downtown streets of Beaver and Canyon in celebration. Songs such as "God Bless America" and the "Star-Spangled Banner" were shouted and the presence of American flags were aplenty.

Spring is in the Air

My fellow photojournalists and I here at Penn State have decided to embark on a photo challenge. We are all members of the Penn State Chapter of the National Press Photographers Association (NPPA) and will be chronicling our photos on each of our blogs. I looking forward to beginning this project and am excited to explore the sights and sounds of State College. Today was a beautiful spring morning. That is until it began to rain, and rained for the rest of the day. I was fortunate enough to take some shots outside before the weather took a turn for the worst.

One year ago

One year ago, I began my return journey from one of the greatest experiences of my life. I was boarding a plane in South Africa, to come back to the United States after inhabiting the great country for two and a half months. Petra Tschakert, one of three professors I had during the program, is pictured below to commemorate my amazing experience I had while there.
